Sieving the Stream to Determine its Water Quality

The students sieved a section of Saw Creek to catch macroinvertebrates.  After obtaining samples they studied them to determine the particular species.  Certain species only live in pristine waters.  Others prefer polluted.  By analyzing the particular species, the students were able to make a determination of the stream's health.
